AGM & Garden Party
On several occasions Jackie Reed has generously hosted our Annual General Meeting and Garden Party. It is held in June to have a reasonable chance of good weather and, so far, we have been lucky. These photos are from the 2003 AGM.
After the serious business of the AGM, the Cups and trophies won by members' cats during the year were presented. (The photo shows just some of our collection - only the ones being presented that day were put on display)
The special title rosettes won by club members were also on display.
Members and their friends were then free to enjoy the excellent food and have a good cat chat with everyone else.
There was ample food and drink for all (non-alcoholic for drivers!)
Many of us indulged in second and third helpings of the excellent fare.
The garden stayed remarkably tidy, although the breeze did its best to spread papers around.
Members had given very generously to the raffle, so nobody went home without winning something - and club funds benefitted considerably.
(Bottles seemed to outnumber everything else!)
At the far, quiet, end of the garden were Jackie's stud cats in their houses and runs.
Joe (Gr Ch Sarnau Johpasquali), who was entertaining his Dutch friend Spotteke (Int Ch Nefertiti van het Vorstendonck), was not fazed at all by having so many visitors.
